Teaware

Ru Ware Celadon Teacups, Pair

Sky-blue glaze, sixty millilitres each

Two small cups glazed in the pale sky blue associated with Ru ware, each with a fine crackle across the surface that slowly develops as the cups are used. They hold sixty millilitres, a size suited to gongfu service, with rims thin enough to read the colour of the tea through the glaze. The pair is glazed together but fired separately, so the tone and crackle vary slightly between the cups, and hand washing keeps that crackle even. Each cup is packed separately in a padded box for shipping.

• Pair of 60 ml cups
• Sky-blue celadon glaze
• Fine crackle finish
